Quality and format notes
Pages are rendered at 144 DPI. PNG avoids additional lossy image compression and is useful for text, diagrams and screenshots. This is a rendered image export, not OCR or extraction of editable document text.
The current PDF limits include 200 pages and 100 MiB of input; page dimensions, output size and available memory also apply. Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Use JPG or WebP if PNG page images are too large.
Frequently asked questions
What resolution are the page images?
Pages render at 144 DPI, which is comfortably readable for text and diagrams. There is currently no setting to change the render resolution.
Can I extract the text from my PDF?
No. This tool produces images of the pages; the text becomes pixels and is not selectable or searchable. It does not perform OCR.
Why is my PDF rejected?
The most common causes are documents over 200 pages, files over 100 MiB, and password-protected PDFs. Very large page dimensions can also exceed the browser's memory.
