Quality and format notes
SVG scales to any size, but app stores, marketplaces and form fields usually demand PNG at specific pixel dimensions. This conversion renders your vector file to PNG in the browser; the SVG original is not modified.
Complex SVG features — web fonts, filters, external references — may render differently or not at all when rasterized. Check the result at its target size, and re-export from your design tool if anything looks off.
Frequently asked questions
What size will the PNG be?
Plain-number width and height attributes in the SVG become the PNG size. When they are missing or use units and percentages, the viewBox proportions are used instead; if neither is usable, the output is a 512×512 canvas. For exact dimensions, set plain width and height in the SVG or export from your design tool.
Why do fonts in my SVG look wrong?
SVG text relies on fonts available on the viewing device. Text converted to paths or outlines renders reliably; references to specific fonts may substitute. Outlining text in your editor avoids the issue.
Is the result still scalable?
No. PNG is a fixed-resolution bitmap. Keep the SVG as your master file and rasterize again whenever you need a different size.
