Quality and format notes
TIFF files from scanners and photo workflows are enormous because they store everything losslessly. JPG trades a controlled amount of quality for practical sizes — right for sharing, wrong for archival masters.
Multi-page TIFF files convert as their first page; handle additional pages individually. Keep the TIFF originals when the scans matter — JPG is a delivery copy.
